Why I’m Running
My Mission
I’m running to bring oversight and common sense to township government. That means insisting on open communication, protecting taxpayer dollars, and ensuring our township services are responsive, fair, and delivered with dignity in mind.
Another major reason why I’m running is to protect our township from dissolution. Anyone proposing consolidation should have to explain their alternative, and clearly describe how it will be better for us all. It’s easier to destroy than it is to build, and anyone who wants to detonate the township has to prove to residents that we will get equal or better assistance, clear accountability, and uninterrupted services.
No one has proposed a clear, vetted alternative which accomplishes that. I see resources disappearing in the name of efficiency, and I don’t want our township to become one more file on an already crowded desk.

We deserve a township board that provides all three.

You should know where your tax dollars go.
I’ll push for monthly public board meetings and spending reports you can understand. That includes publishing meeting dates and minutes, inviting resident feedback, and responding to it in a timely manner.
Stewardship
Let’s continue doing what we’re doing right.
I’m proud of our parks, and I want us to keep investing in them. We should be able to maintain what we’ve built, pay our debts, and leave room to help neighbors through hard times. I believe we can do more with what we have.
New commitments should be approved only when their full cost and public purpose are clear.
I’ll honor this office with hard work, heart, and with each constituent in mind. That means explaining where your money goes and being willing to answer for it.

I am a dual threat. I do good work in financial technology (yes, that’s possible) and have a background in journalism. I can understand a budget and explain it clearly, which means I can ask hard questions about how your money is spent, and I’ll welcome those questions from you.
For more than 15 years, I’ve led teams that turn raw data into clear, accurate, easy-to-use information. The work has taught me to ask the right questions, listen closely, and make smart decisions.
I’ve also served on nonprofit boards and planning committees, helped organizations rebuild and grow after the pandemic, led major fundraising efforts, and worked with civic leaders and local partners to organize community events.
Now’s the time to start working together to make our township the best it can be. Let’s get to it!
